There is confusion in the hopper. Bread created for nourishment, fellowship, and spiritual awareness has become a topic of argument, upset, and all-out war.
What has caused this delicious, satisfying foods to become so confusing? I still remember visiting my grandmother at the century family farm. She would carry a hot loaf of bread to the table, using her well-worn apron as the pot holder.
There would be a rush to get to the butter crock first and then to eagerly bite in to this warm delight. The thick slices and crunchy crust made it a treasured memory. No store bread could compete with Grandma’s baked goodness. As we all enjoyed this buttered delight, there would be three to four generations sitting around the old farm table sharing stories of the good ole days.
For many people, bread can conjure memories just like this. Yet for other people, especially in today’s culture, bread can bring thoughts of upset stomachs, toppling over waistlines, and lethargy.
What changed?
I am glad you picked up this book. In it, you will find the answer to that question plus many more. After I have calmed your anxiety about bread, we will learn the basics of making and tasting real bread. I still remember attending my first real bread class, facilitated by my friend, Kim. Her bread was so rich and satisfying. Her encouragement was inspiring.
Other teachings from Sue Becker have formed the foundation of my journey. Their combined inspiration to get back in Scriptures, eat real food and delight in the Lord has transformed my life. It is my prayer that this same revelation will convert your life. I pray your Spiritual and physical eyes are opened and your body is satisfied.
Enjoy God’s goodness and be SATISFIED.
Baking Blessings,
