This will quickly become a Saturday morning favorite.
1 stick butter
1 cup(240ml) sucanat with honey or honey crystals 6 slices whole wheat bread
6 eggs 1¼ cups(300ml) milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon
6 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
Melt butter in 13" x 9" pan.
Add sucanat to butter and spread over pan. Place apple slices on top of butter mixture in a double layer.
Place bread slices on top of apples. In mixing bowl, beat eggs.
Add to eggs - milk, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon. Pour egg mixture over bread slices. Refrigerate overnight.
In the morning Preheat oven: 350°F
